Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev described the 2021 state budget as “inadequate to the reality and the challenges the country will face”, our reporter Mira Stefanova informs. In President Radev’s view, the revenues set in next year’s budget have nowhere to come from and social expenditures will be suspended.

The next cabinet will be placed in an extremely unfavorable situation- a depleted treasury, bankrupt households and businesses, lack of revenues, zero reforms and, most likely, social tensions.

In response, Deputy Premier Tomislav Donchev said that a new measure is support of the business to the tune of EUR 87 million will be announced on Monday.
