From January 1, supplies of Covid-19 vaccines shall be taxed with zero VAT. The amendment to the VAT Law was submitted to Bulgaria’s National Assembly. The zero tax will be valid until the end of 2022, BTA reports. Earlier, Premier Borissov announced that vaccination against Covid-19 will be free and voluntary. A zero tax rate is also proposed for Covid-19 tests in in-vitro procedures.
The changes also regulate the regime with Great Britain after January 1. The United Kingdom and Northern Ireland must be considered third countries for the EU. However, when transport is made only to Northern Ireland, the VAT for supplies equals the VAT levied on an EU member state, the proposal further reads.
