Sofia‘s boulevards Dondukov and Tsar Osvoboditel were blocked by protesters against the government and Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev. They threw rotten pumpkins at the Council of Ministers building and then broke through the enclosures around the Christmas bazaar in the city centre and called on the people there to join the protest. Later the protesters headed for the central office of GERB party near the National Palace of Culture but their attempts to enter the building were thwarted by police.
Today‘s demonstration marks the 150th day of protests in Sofia. The protesters stated for the BNR that their demands are for a better and more just future, and that they will continue their protests until there is "a real change, not a sham”.
