Changes in supplementary pension insurance discussed

The National Council for Tripartite Cooperation is to hold an online meeting on December 7 at 2 p.m. Trade unions, employers and the government will discuss a draft amendment to the Social Security Code submitted by Minister of Social Affairs, Denitsa Sacheva.

The changes aim at comprehensive regulation of payment of pensions from the mandatory supplementary pension insurance to workers born after December 31, 1959, the press center of the Ministry of Social Affairs announced. The first insured under the second pillar of the pension system will be entitled to a supplementary lifelong pension in 2021 - for women, and in 2024 - for men.
