Tourism will be included in the final version of the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan, Bulgaria’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Tourism Mariana Nikolova said in an interview for BTA.

The funding is to be negotiated on the basis of proposals of a working group with the participation of branch representatives. According to data of the National Statistical Institute and the Bulgarian National Bank, the damages incurred by the tourism sector by September this year amount to nearly EUR 2.1 billion. The losses from internal and inbound tourism may exceed EUR 2.5 billion for the whole year, Minister Nikolova added.
