The price of heating and water and the amount of pensions are the main problems for which citizens have sought help from the ombudsman last year, the institution reported.

Nearly 3,000 people have complained about irregularities in the field of social rights, education and health care since the Covid-19 state of emergency. Every second request filed with the Children's Rights Directorate was for financial and social support from parents who lost their income as a result of the anti-epidemic measures.
The Ombudsman Diana Kovacheva addressed the most numerous recommendations in 2020 to the Ministers of Labour, Healthcare and Education.
