Covid-19 pandemic significantly impacts car sales in Bulgaria

In 2020, sales of new cars in Bulgaria fell by nearly 37%, data of this country’s Traffic Police show. Sales of second-hand cars have shrunk by nearly 18 percent. 

Car importers commented that this was due to the fear of coronavirus and, above all, the risk of income loss. The coronavirus pandemic has also affected negatively industries that buy new cars such as restaurants, tourism and transport services.
