“Career in Bulgaria" is an online career forum that mediates between job seekers and employers from different sectors. The one-day forum is held on the platform of the European Commission "European Job Days".
Information is available in Bulgarian and English. Both Bulgarians and foreigners who are interested in the opportunities and conditions of labor legislation in Bulgaria can join the forum.
The start of the online initiative will be given on January 12 at 11.00 amEastern European Time (10.00 am Central European Time) and is expected to end at 17.00 EET (16.00 CET). A reference in the platform shows that so far more than 1,190 job positions have been announced. Demand for medical staff, engineers and IT experts prevails. Most vacancies are in metalworking, automobile repair, sewing and canning factories. Employers offer full-time job positions, but no requirements for experience and age of the job candidates are indicated. "Join now to make your dreams come true in Bulgaria!" – the Bulgarian organizers of the career forum write. The event is organized by the Bulgarian Ministry of Labor and Social Policy in cooperation with the National Employment Agency. Registration of jobseekers and employers began on December 23, 2020, on the event's website. Participants can join the forum on the day of the event from any computer or mobile device with an Internet connection.
The platform enables employers from Bulgaria to provide real time information about their activities and job vacancies. Within the frameworks of the forum, they can exchange contacts and make interviews with job applicants. The advantage for job seekers is that they can apply for various jobs in one place and in real time and get acquainted directly with the conditions offered by the employer. Representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, in cooperation with the best employment mediators from the National Employment Agency will explain the labor and social legislation in the country andthe possibilities for starting or continuing the professional realization in Bulgaria.
