No casualties have been reported in Bulgaria over the adverse weather", Chief Commissioner Nikolay Nikolov, Director of Fire Safety and Civil Protection Directorate told BNR's Horizont channel.

The situation is gradually getting back to normal in the capital and in Sofia and Pernik districts. Flood waters have destroyed dikes and flooded houses and agricultural lands in Radomir region. "We are monitoring Maritsa, Tundzha and Arda rivers, as well as the small rivers in Burgas region," Chief Commissioner Nikolov pointed out.

17 dams have been filled up to 80% of their capacity and water volumes are being released in a controlled manner, without posing a threat to the population. "We provided information to the neighboring countries about Kardzhali, Ivaylovgrad and Studen Kladenets dams," Chief Commissioner Nikolov went on to say.
