Sofia supports priorities of Portugal’s EU Presidency

Bulgaria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva held a phone conversation with her Portuguese counterpart Augusto Santos Silva, the Bulgarian Foreign Finistry announced. Minister Zaharieva congratulated Augusto Santos Silva on the priorities of the Portuguese EU Presidency and expressed full support for them. Ministers Zaharieva and Silva discussed the fight against COVID-19, EU enlargement and other key topics from the EU agenda.

"If we are all part of the same team in the EU, if we are consistent and ensure continuity, we can overcome the challenges we face. The motto you have chosen for your EU Presidency 'Time to deliver: a fair digital and green recovery” is very timely and appropriate. That's what our citizens expect,  Ekaterina Zaharieva told Portugal’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Augusto Santos Silva.
