There are no reports of Bulgarian nationals injured in the earthquake that struck Indonesia's Sulawesi island early on Friday morning, the Bulgarian embassy in Jakarta has announced.

There is currently no danger of a tsunami following the 6.2 magnitude earthquake that shook the region of the city of Majene, West Sulawesi. The island is located in a remote area from the capital Jakarta and there are no Bulgarian citizens on its territory, the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

The authorities in Indonesia have urged residents in areas around the quake's epicenter to avoid buildings damaged by the quake.
