Two application for director general of the Bulgarian News Agency - BTA were submitted to the parliament before the deadline – 18:00 o’clock on January 15. Kiril Valchev has been nominated by the ruling GERB party. Ivaylo Danailov has been nominated by the opposition BSP party. Both have a professional connection with BTA in different periods of their careers. Valchev is an active radio journalist and legal advisor at the agency.
