“There is no risk of a water crisis on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, even if the summer tourist season is a strong one. After the rainfall there is water in Kamchia dam to last a year and a half,” said Environment Minister Emil Dimitrov after conducting an inspection in Burgas.

The linkage of the two backup dams Aheloy and Poroy with Kamchia derivation will continue without declaring a state of emergency or any emergency procedures in the municipalities of Pomorie and Nessebar. The pipes have been delivered, the two construction sites for the pumping stations have been prepared. The dams will be used as backup and should enter into exploitation by summer, Minister Dimitrov added.
