Bulgaria will receive 29 billion euros from the EU to deal with the consequences of the pandemic. "This is BGN 60 billion that will come to the country in the coming years, of which BGN 50 billion are grants," said Bulgaria's Prime Minister Borissov. This will ensure that whatever government is formed after the elections in April, the state's investment program will not stop, he added.

Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev said that in the preparation of the Recovery and Sustainability Plan, Bulgaria was among the fastest moving countries and this would allow the money to be available to businesses as soon as possible by the middle of the year.

The new version of the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan has already been published after the public discussions and consultations.
