The Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office has submitted a contestation of the Sofia City Court’s decision to register the political party “Bulgarian Summer” of fugitive gambling tycoon Vasil Bozhkov who is hiding out in Dubai.

The case is going to the Supreme Court of Cassation which has 14 days to give final judgement. The deadline for the registration of parties is 17 February, which means that the only way “Bulgarian Summer” can take part in the parliamentary elections on 4 April is if it enters into coalition with a party which is a mandate-holder.
