The Bulgarian gymnasts won 12 medals - 1 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze in the first tournament of the year in the Rhythmic Gymnastics Grand Prix, which took place in the Russian capital Moscow.

The gold medal was won by Boryana Kaleyn from the final with clubs, as she also won a silver for her ribbon routine and two bronze medals - for her hoop and ball routines.

"This was the first race in almost a year, excluding the European Championship. The atmosphere in Moscow was much better than at the European Championship itself, because the Russians had permission for the hall to be 50% full. It was unique. A competition without an audience is not a real competition," Kaleyn said in an interview with BNR.
