Blocking North Macedonia’s EU membership talks has nothing to do with the forthcoming elections in Bulgaria, Bulgaria's Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva said in an interview for Politico.

In her words, Bulgaria’s position is not going to change after the parliamentary elections on 4 April unless North Macedonia is ready to “apply the good-neighbour agreement and respects its commitments.”
