Kurti described Bulgaria as Kosovo’s close ally and stated that Pristina can learn a lot about European integration from Sofia. The Vetëvendosje leader stated that Kosovo would apply for candidate status for EU membership and that he hoped his future government will work in close cooperation with Bulgaria towards European integration, as well as for promoting bilateral relations in which a much more dynamic economic and cultural exchange can be attained.
