The Anti-corruption and Forfeiture of Illegally Acquired Assets Commission has filed a claim for the confiscation of illegally-acquired assets to the tune of over EUR 200 million. The claims concern 36 properties and 7 motor vehicles, reported BTA.
The anti-corruption commission demands the forfeiture of assets to the tune of more than EUR 142 million belonging to businessman Vasil Bozhkov. The proceedings began after this country’s Prosecutor’s Office pressed charges against Bozhkov that between 2014 and 2020 he was leading an organized criminal group.
