International figure skating tournament opens in Sofia

Almost 280 competitors from 18 countries are to take part in the 6th edition of the Sofia Trophy figure skating champion taking place from 26th February to 2 March in the Winter Palace in Sofia.  

Co-organizer of the men's and ladies', singles on the senior, junior, and novice event is the Denkova-Staviski skating club, BTA reports.

The contest is on the calendar of the International Skating Union, ISU, and is organized with the support of the Bulgarian Skating Federation. The tournament is to take place without an audience to the coronavirus pandemic but will be streamed online.
