Three days before the start of the election campaign for the 45th National Assembly, Alpha Research polling agency published a survey of electoral attitudes, co-financed by the agency and bTV.

The coalition GERB-Union of Democratic Forces (SDS) registers 28.5% support, followed by the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) with 23.2%. The Movement for Rights and Freedoms (12.5%) and “There are such people” (13.3%) are vying for third place.

Six or seven formations look like entering the next parliament, with Democratic Bulgaria registering 5.7% support, the “Stand Up! Thugs out!” coalition – 4.5%, and VMRO - 3.7%.

52.5% of Bulgarians 18 and over say they are certain to take part in the elections, 15% say they are not sure who to cast their ballot for.

The data are from a representative survey conducted by Alpha Research from 26 February until 1 March, co-financed by the agency and bTV.
