42% of Bulgarians aged 18 and over, or around 50% of all internet users are willing to buy prescription medication online, indicates a national representative survey carried out by Market Links in connection with eHealth care.

At the moment only over-the-counter drugs can be traded online. Either option – home delivery or pickup at a pharmacy - are attractive in almost equal measure, Stanislava Chipova from the polling agency commented for the BNR.

There are more than 15 municipalities without a pharmacy which means that around 50,000 people have no access to pharmaceutical services.
