“The printing of the ballots for the elections on 4 April has begun”, Tanya Tsaneva, spokesperson for the Central Electoral Commission has announced.
“The ballot will be 60 cms. long. The first ballots that will be ready will be the ballots for the voting abroad so that they can be sent out. We are registering NGOs as observers, as well as polling agencies which will be conducting surveys of the vote,” Tanya Tsaneva said.
“We are continuing with the certification of the machines. The campaign to demonstrate how to vote using a machine is to begin within days,” said Dimitar Dimitrov from the Central Electoral Commission.
Talks have already been held with the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry about the voting sites abroad. The designation of voting centres is to be completed by 13 March. In some of them there will be more than one voting booth, BTA reports.
