Maria Bakalova nominated for 2021 British Academy Film Awards

Maria Bakalova was nominated for the 2021 British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA). She was nominated in the category Supporting Actress for her participation in Borat Subsequent Moviefilm. Some of the world’s biggest cinema stars such as Sir Anthony Hopkins and Frances McDormand are also among the nominees for the 2021 BAFTA Awards. The award ceremony will take place on April 10 and 11 in London and will be streamed online. The Bulgarian actress has already received a series of recognitions for her role in Borat Subsequent Moviefilm. Several days ago, she won the award for Best Supporting Actress at the 2021 Critics’ Choice Awards. She also won the London Critics Circle Awards. Soon all eyes will be on the Oscar nominations.
