Bulgaria reports increase in number of Covid-19 hospitalizations

4,162 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours, out of 18,449 tests performed, indicate data of the Single Coronavirus Information Portal. Almost 23% of the tests have returned positive result. The highest number of new infections was reported in Sofia-1,162, followed by Burgas-331, Varna-325 and Plovdiv-253. There are 8,332 patients in hospital, as 689 of them are in intensive care units. 

1,555 people have recovered and 115 patients have died in the past 24 hours. 60 medics have tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. A total of 11,160 medics have been diagnosed with Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic. There are 54,411 active cases of Covid-19 at present. 

6,669 vaccines have been administered in this country in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of inoculations against the novel coronavirus to 362,721. 69,545 people have already received their second vaccine dose.
