Almost 24% of 18,808 coronavirus tests performed in past 24 hours return positive

4,467 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 18,808 tests performed. The highest number of new infections was reported in Sofia-1,289, followed by Varna-281, Blagoevgrad-190 and Ruse-185, indicate data of the Single Coronavirus Information Portal. 23.75% of the tests have returned positive result. There are 58,671 active cases of Covid-19. 169 people have died in the past 24 hours. 

There are 8,689 people in hospital, as 691 of them are in intensive care units. 2,260 people have recovered in the past 24 hours.

7,465 vaccines have been administered in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of inoculations against Covid-19 to 376,370. 73,853 people have already received their second vaccine dose.
