Central Election Commission approves voting rules for Bulgarians abroad

Photo: BGNES

Voting begins at 7.00 am on the election day in the presence of at least half of the members of the sectional election commission. According to the Central Election Commission, voting shall continue until 8.00 pm local time and may not end any later than 9.00 pm. In some countries, voting will end before 8.00 pm, because of the curfew introduced by the local authorities to contain the spread of Covid-19.

People must communicate only in Bulgarian inside the polling stations. Members of sectional election commissions may not wear distinguishing signs of political parties, coalitions or initiative committees, or participate in election campaigning. Illiteracy shall not be a reason for voting with the assistance of an attendant.
