The highest average gross monthly salary in Bulgaria for 2019 was in the municipality of Chelopech - 1245 euros. The capital city of Sofia holds the 5th position after the municipality of Pirdop with an average monthly salary of 898 euros.

Industrial municipalities on the periphery of the largest economic centers have also been performing well in terms of wage growth, the IME reported.
