Ten minutes after the start of today’s sitting, the National Assembly failed to approve its weekly programme. At the requested revote the number of abstentions increased to 123. National Assembly Vice-President Kristian Vigenin declared the sitting closed and convened parliament’s presiding body.

Meanwhile, protesters from VMRO extra-parliamentary party organized a vociferous protest in front of parliament building against the amendments to the Election Code. The protest moved to the space in front of the Presidency building, where the protesters shouted slogans against the representatives of There Is Such a People who had just returned the mandate for the formation of a government handed them by Presidenr Rumen Radev.
