For more than a year almost 1,300 people have been receiving free food from volunteers next to the Alexandrovska Hospital arch.

“The idea was basically to bring together people who want to help senior citizens who live alone or who are sick,” says Deyan Petrov, one of the organizers.

The volunteers launched their idea in March last year thanks to people who cook the food at home and to restaurants. Today it is their dream to have a van to keep the food warm, so they have placed a donation box for a “hot food van” next to the hospital chapel.
