Bulgaria celebrates the Day of Courage and of the Bulgarian army

The day of bravery and the day of the Bulgarian army was marked with solemn artillery volleys, a march of representative army units and the flight of combat aircraft over the centre of Bulgaria's capital city Sofia. Traditionally, on St. George's Day, in the presence of the President, the Minister of Defence and thousands of citizens, the flags of the Bulgarian army were consecrated in front of the monument to the Unknown Soldier in central Sofia.

On the occasion of May 6, the President congratulated the Bulgarian servicemen who "today watch over the peace and security of the homeland or carry out missions abroad."
Due to the anti-epidemic measures, the traditional parade of military equipment was not held for the second year. It is shown at the garrisons in the country, which opened their doors on the occasion of the holiday.
