4.5% of Covid-19 tests in past day returned positive result

There are 506 new cases of coronavirus infection in this country, according to the Single Coronavirus Information Portal. 4.5% of the 11,247 tests performed were positive. The number of newly infected in each of the Bulgarian districts is under 100. Most of the newly infected are in Sofia-city – 98, followed by the districts Plovdiv - 55, Varna - 41 and Veliko Tarnovo - 27.

The number of active Covid-19 cases is 36,124, while 5,114 patients are treated in hospital. There are 516 patients in intensive care. 44 people with Covid-19 passed away in the past day. The number of recoveries reached 2,853 or five times more than the newly infected.

37,759 vaccines have been administered for a day. A total of 387,980 people have already been vaccinated with two vaccine doses. Those immunized with at least one dose are 1,073,523.
