The first hybrid eco-catamaran built in this country is to be welcomed with a special ceremony at the Port of Burgas, the port’s press service has announced. The vessel was constructed at the shipyard in Tsarevo under the project Sailing Across the black Sea, which is a joint enterprise with the participation of Bulgaria, Greece and Georgia with the financial assistance of the operational programme Black Sea Basin 2014-2020.
The vessel will make its first tour of the port with school children from the Burgas naval school who will, in future, conduct training on board the catamaran. The presentation of the vessel is part of the official programme marking the 118th anniversary of the creation of the Port of Burgas.
