The Central Election Commission (CEC) has asked the government and experts for help in organizing the machine voting.
Another 1,000 voting machines will probably be needed for the election on 11 July, the CEC says. The Commission is taking steps to acquire 9,600 machines from the previous procurement procedure. For the first time at the upcoming elections for parliament there will be machine voting at all polling places in Bulgaria and abroad, with the exception of those with fewer than 300 voters.
As of today until 26 May parties and coalitions are submitting papers to the CEC for registration for participation in the parliamentary elections on 11 July.
