The Movement for Rights and Freedoms - MRF expects facts and evidence that motivated US institutions to impose sanctions on businessman Delyan Peevski. "Until then, we remain in solidarity with Mr. Peevski's personal position," the MRF said in a statement about sanctions under the Magnitsky Act. Former MRF MP Peevski has informed his lawyers in the United States that he would take all legal actions against the act of the US authorities.

The other sanctioned oligarch, Vasil Bozhkov, thanked the United States on Facebook for paying attention to his signal of racketeering and extortion by former Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and former Finance Minister Vladislav Goranov. Bozhkov, who is under investigation for 19 charges, did not comment on the sanctions imposed on him and 58 organizations and companies related to his business, including the “Bulgarian Summer” political party.
