Protesters have put up tents in front of the Sofia Court House. They say they would not leave until the resignation of Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev.

Speaking to the Horizont program of the BNR, Boryana Dimitrova, a member of the Judicial Board of the Supreme Judicial Council, commented on the protests of lawyers and judges against the closure of courts in small towns. "In every town where a regional court used to exist, an institution would continue to work. Whether it would be called a territorial division or a regional court is a technical question. These divisions will not only hear the usual cases but we propose cases that are under the jurisdiction of the district court to be heard in them, too" Dimitrova, who is among the authors of the changes, said.
