Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev has attendeded today the opening of the Three Seas Initiative Conference- “Unity, Innovation, Connectivity” held in Bulgaria’s capital Sofia. This country’s head of state has called for a more effective use of instruments that promote investment and economic growth, such as the Three Seas Initiative. “The Eastern European countries have a common objective- to achieve accelerated social and economic cohesion with their Western European partners by improving transport, energy and digital connectivity in their region”, noted President Radev. He stressed that the inclusion of Greece in the initiative is of key significance, because important energy, transport and digital routes intersect the Bulgaria-Greece border.
President Radev pointed out that Japan, South Korea, Great Britain and Qatar had shown interest to cooperate under the initiative. "Our ambition is to attract the interest of businesses and investment funds, in order to make our region more recognizable globally," said Bulgaria’s head of state Rumen Radev.
