The obligatory wearing of masks in some public places will be suspended, Deputy Minister of Health Alexander Zlatanov has reported. The order will be published after June 13.
"We have morbidity below 50 per 100,000. The other good thing is that we are 23rd in Europe when it comes to morbidity," Zlatanov added. On this basis, masks will not be mandatory in gyms, hair salons, among small groups of vaccinated workers. This will be proven with a certificate in order to stimulate vaccination.
Masks remain mandatory in public transport, in large retail shops and in administrative buildings. The use of the capacity of restaurants, theaters and cinemas remains limited to 50%.
