Boryana Kaleyn wins silver at Rhythmic Gymnastics European championships

Boryana Kaleyn won the silver medal in the all-around event at the Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships in Varna.

Who would qualify for the top three positions was not clear until the end of the competition, as Kaleyn was the last to perform her clubs combination and her marks were delayed.

The other Bulgarian competitor – Katrin Taseva – came 7th after committing a serious error with the hoops. Arina Averina, Russia became European champion for the second time, third came her twin sister Dina. 

Boryana Kaleyn is the first Bulgarian gymnast to have won a European championships medal in the all-around event after 1994.
