The government has proposed to the President to release the chairman of the State Intelligence Agency, Atanas Atanasov, spokesperson of the Council of Ministers, Anton Kutev has reported. It has been proposed that officer Antoan Gechev should take his position. The motive for the change is that Atanasov violated the principle of political neutrality of the service and did not send full information to the President, Kutev said.

Stanislav Stanchev has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for National Security. He has replaced Nedyalko Nedyalkov. According to Nedyalkov, the reason for his dismissal is that 2 years ago he signed the document that stopped access to classified information of the current caretaker Minister of Interior Boyko Rashkov.
