Measures for easing traffic at Kulata-Promachonas border checkpoint between Bulgaria and Greece expected

Measures to ease the traffic through the Kulata-Promachonas border checkpoint will be announced by July 1st. It is planned to increase the number of inspectors from the Greek side at the busiest point across the Bulgarian-Greek border, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry announced on the occasion of the joint efforts of the two countries to facilitate the border crossing. The Greek side has expressed the expectation that measures will be taken to facilitate traffic through the Ilinden-Exohi border checkpoint, as well.

Due to the influx of tourists and the usual flow of goods, the crossing to Greece for trucks and cars at both border checkpoints at Kulata and Makaza is busy also on June 24, the Border Police announced.
