Slight cool down expected on July 1 after recent hot weather

Sunny weather is in the forecast for the first morning of July. At noon it will become cloudy over the Western and Central Bulgaria. Rain and thunderstorms are expected in these regions in the afternoon hours. Strong thunderstorms are in the forecast for Northeastern Bulgaria. Hailstorms are also possible. The maximum temperatures will fluctuate between 33 and 38 degrees Celsius.

The weather over the Black Sea coast will be sunny. Rainfalls are expected in the evening hours and on Friday morning. The maximum temperatures will range between 27 and 30C. North of Varna- in Golden Sands, the maximum temperatures will reach 28-30C. In Burgas, Sunny Beach and the southern Black Sea coast the maximum temperatures will reach 31C. The temperature of the sea water is 25C, sea state 2.

Cumulonimbus clouds will gather in the mountains. Showers and thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon hours. The maximum temperature at 1,200 meters will be 27C, at 2,000 meters- around 20C. In the mountain resorts of Borovets and Pamporovo, the maximum temperatures will reach 27C.The maximum temperature in Bansko resort will reach 32C.

The weather is expected to cool down slightly on Friday and the maximum temperatures will drop to 27C-32C.
