A total of 1,637 election machines have been delivered to Bulgaria and we now have the full number of machines needed for the elections on July 11, caretaker Prime Minister Stefan Yanev said at a government meeting. In this way, the government has fulfilled its commitment and the smooth running of the elections has been ensured, Yanev added.

At a press conference, the GERB party said that they would file a request to the Central Election Commission to issue instructions to the polling station commissions to count the receipts issued by the election machines and include the number in the protocols at the end of the Election Day, as required by the Electoral Code. GERB has also asked about the role of persons of South American origin in the election process and the development of the software for the machines.
