Bulgaria seeks to deepen its economic and investment partnership with Canada. The increase in bilateral trade despite the pandemic is a positive sign in this direction. This was stated by Bulgaria's President Rumen Radev at a meeting with the Ambassador of Canada in Romania, the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Moldova, Annick Goulet.

In 2021, Bulgaria and Canada mark 55 years since the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations and the participants in the meeting expressed a mutual desire for the comprehensive development of dialogue in various fields.

Bulgaria wants to encourage investors in areas of high added value, especially in the field of information technology and digitalization, for which there are already successful examples in bilateral cooperation with Canada, Radev said.
