100 years of advertising in Bulgaria

On this date, 100 years ago in 1921, the first Law on Advertising in Bulgaria was promulgated and entered into force in the State Gazette. It was adopted the day before by the 19th National Assembly.

For the first time in Bulgaria, the term "advertising" and what "advertising with obscene and immoral content" means was defined with it. If the publisher of the advertisement is unknown, the following are punished: the printer, the engraver or the painter, the law provides.
