Bulgarians abroad had conditions for mass voting, but no attitude

The absence of a full-fledged "Abroad" constituency is among the reasons for the lower voter turnout abroad during the July 11 parliamentary elections, Dimitar Dimitrov from the Central Election Commission (CEC) told BNR.

"Technical conditions were created - the machines for mass voting, but there was no such attitude among the voters. There is an increase only in voting in Turkey, but it has nothing to do with dramatic predictions. About 7,000 more people voted in Turkey." 
The conclusions from the results abroad are that it is not enough to create good conditions for voting. Messages should be sent and solutions proposed to wake the voters, Dimitrov said.
The problem on election night with the protocols from abroad is organizational and administrative - in a very short period of time a huge amount is processed. Each document must be processed by at least 2 CEC members, Dimitrov explained.
