EC: Independence of Bulgarian judiciary continues to face challenges

Independence of the judiciary in Bulgaria continues to face challenges, a report under  the European Rule of Law Mechanism, shows. The low percentage of final sentences when it comes to the higher levels of power had been pointed out, BNR correspondent Angelina Piskova reported from Brussels.

The document also points out that there is lack of transparency when it comes to media ownership in this country and that the working environment and safety of journalists have not improved.
