The coronavirus situation in Bulgaria would remain calm until the end of July, but then it would change because the number of cases in Europe has been rising. In August we can expect a significant rise in morbidity, Chief State Health Inspector Assoc. Prof. Angel Kunchev has told BNT.

The EU is allocating 50 million euros for PCR and rapid tests in order to facilitate travel between countries. Bulgaria has applied for the project, Kunchev said, adding that medics and social workers should be included in the groups for mandatory vaccination.

There are Balkan countries that have wished to receive vaccine donations, Assoc. Prof. Kunchev added speaking about expiring vaccines.
