Delta variant of Covid-19 found in almost half of clinical samples

The analysis of 90 clinical samples submitted for sequencing with SARS-CoV-2 at the National Centre for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases shows that 53 of them have the Delta variant, the Ministry of Health has announced. The identified viral variants with Alpha are 32 and with Beta -1. 

Clinical samples were taken from patients with Covid-19 between June 21 and July 8. They were sent by 29 medical institutions from 17 districts of the country.
