“The negotiations with the Republic of North Macedonia are following two lines – enhanced dialogue with the Macedonian politicians and with our European partners for clarifying Bulgaria’s position,” said Foreign Minister Svetlan Stoev.

“The fastest way is a bilateral agreement. If we achieve that we shall prove that the two countries are able to resolve sensitive problems without involving the EU. The actions of the caretaker government are governed by the National Assembly’s framework declaration. Parliament must make an analysis of what has been achieved,” Minister Stoev said.

“It is important that the rights of the Bulgarians in the Republic of North Macedonia be treated equally with the rights of the other peoples by the Constitution of the Republic of North Macedonia,” Svetlan Stoev said
